ECHOES OF OUR PAST
Guiding our future

OUR
MILESTONE

For over three decades, Siam Dial has upheld the belief that
consistent innovation drives sustainable growth. We see the pursuit
of technical expertise as a cornerstone of long-term business success.

1993

The founding of Siam Dial Co., Ltd.

Mr. Pakdee Sethvarangkul (LIM) accumulated experience in the
watch industry for a decade before co-founding Siam Dial Co., Ltd.
in collaboration with a Swiss partner. Established on June 25th, 1993,
Siam Dial Co., Ltd. emerged as a Thai-Swiss joint venture with a
vision to become a pioneer watch dial manufacturer in Thailand.

1993

 Locate in Lad Krabang

Mr. Lim envisioned establishing the company in an industrial zone
in Bangkok, ultimately selecting Lad Krabang as the ideal location,
anticipating the ease of labor acquisition in the future.

1993

Construction of the first building

The construction of the factory began in the same year the company
was founded, in collaboration with a renowned Thai architectural firm.
Its design stood as a testament to modernity, setting it apart from
other factories in the area at the time.

1994

Commence Operation

At the beginning of its journey, Siam Dial Co., Ltd. operated within a
1,800-square-meter production area, with 50 employees focusing on
producing simple watch dials, primarily using the printing process.

1997

Starting Index Production

Siam Dial commenced business expansion by leveraging Swiss
manufacturing techniques to produce the dial accessory "INDEX,"
which enhanced the aesthetic completeness of the dials.

1997 - 2002

Growth arising from the Tom Yum Kung Crisis

The 1997 Asian Financial Crisis, also known as the 'Tom Yam Kung Crisis,
began on July 2, 1997, when Thailand announced the floating of the baht.
The crisis severely impacted the Thai economy and quickly spread
across ASEAN, escalating into a broader financial meltdown. However,
while the sharp depreciation of the Thai baht negatively affected other
businesses, it provided a competitive advantage to export-driven
companies, allowing Siam Dial to thrive during this time.

1999

Factory Expansion

Leveraging the advantages brought by the financial crisis, the company
strategically decided to expand its factory. This expansion aimed to
increase production capacity, particularly to support the growing
demand for index on watch dials.
